Walkplace Ltd was formed in November 1984 and commenced trading in January 1985. Since then, some 200 individual contracts have been satisfactorily completed. These vary in size and complexity from minor extensions to alterations and construction of new educational buildings, church buildings, shops, office blocks and community halls.
The work undertaken during this time includes:
- New school buildings including classroom, science and accommodation blocks
- Extensions and alterations to all types of buildings
- Renovations and alterations to listed buildings
- Extensive work in new and second-hand natural stone
- Conversion of barns and other buildings
- Loft conversions
- Retirement homes
- Industrial work including new construction and alteration to existing buildings
- Commercial work includes shops, offices and housing association work
- Community buildings
- Hospital contracts.
