Construction of a new two class extension within the grounds of grade one listed buildings. The existing buildings are believed to be one of the oldest brick built schools in the county
The construction included extensive purpose made oak glazed screens and doors and the installation of a purpose made oak staircase and gallery within the existing building

The alterations and extensions were awarded a commendation by the Civic Trust Awards 2001 for a valuable contribution to the quality and appearance of the environment.
They also were awarded a Diploma by the European Association for the Protection and Enhancement of Europe’s Architectural and Natural Heritage for the sympathetic adaptation, extension and renovation of England’s oldest school still operating in it’s original buildings to meet present day requirements and to safeguard it’s future.
